In many parts of the world, the FIRST Robotics Competition is considered the ultimate challenge for high school students, combining engineering, programming, design and entrepreneurship. Yet in Sweden, the competition remains relatively unknown. At Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet, we launched a robotics program from scratch—and managed to take our team all the way to New York. This is the story of how ED Robotics overcame tight deadlines, limited resources, and long odds to compete on a global stage.
