Our hospital-themed escape room is an immersive, team-based learning experience set in a realistic clinical training environment — designed to be fully accessible for participants without a medical background. Small groups are guided through a fictional patient journey where success depends on curiosity, communication, and teamwork across roles and perspectives — not clinical knowledge. Participants solve a sequence of time-bound challenges (observation, sensemaking, prioritization, and decision-making) that make visible what happens “in between” formal silos: handovers, shared responsibility, and the everyday micro-interactions that shape safety, trust, and outcomes. In line with the conference theme “The Space In Between”, the experience invites participants to practice how we can live this philosophy in a hospital setting: creating shared meaning across professions, bridging gaps between departments, and strengthening human factors such as psychological safety, listening, and mutual support. The session ends with a short-facilitated debrief focused on insights, transfer to daily work, and practical takeaways.
The Escape Room design at Disruptive Thinkers welcomes everybody – no clinical background needed! Come join, experience, contribute and learn.
