Inspired by the Table of Disruptive Technologies from Imperial College London, TODI – the Table of Disruptive Ideas brings this powerful framework into the field of welfare and societal innovation. Instead of mapping emerging technologies, TODI focuses on bold and transformative ideas that can reshape how we think about welfare, wellbeing, and sustainable development.
In this introduction, participants will learn how TODI uses four time horizons – from what is already happening today, to what lies ahead in the near and distant future – to explore new opportunities for innovation. The session will explain the purpose and structure of TODI and how participants, through collaboration and discussion, can generate ideas that challenge the status quo and inspire collective progress.
This session sets the stage for creative, forward-thinking work that continues in each group’s microsystem during the workshop phase.
