Mikael Pekkari is a patient representative and regional chairman of the patient association RME Jönköping, which represents families affected by the disease Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS).

Mikael works professionally as a consultant in property development, business management and public management.
The iterative project model Mikael originally developed when marketing the Nordic sawmill industry internationally, has found applications in several other areas. Such as Regional development, Innovation in SME companies, Technology clusters, National and Regional industry programs and in the establishment of network-based innovation environments. A key factor has been to apply an holistic approach to motivate individuals in the collaboration of business, academia and the public sector.
